Freshness

Freshness is measured in trading days, not calendar days. A Friday US close can be valid on Monday morning in Australia without being falsely stale.

Point-in-time discipline

Research inputs must be available as of the decision date. Future rows, smoothed labels, and full-history fits are blocked or labeled as display-only.

Fail closed

When a gate cannot prove a surface is clean, the system withholds it from agent consumption rather than using it with a warning buried in logs.
