SurgeFlow — Open Equity Data Science

Open data science on broad equity markets. We perform statistical testing on public market data and publish methodology transparently. Free, donation-funded — we ask users to donate to UNHCR. SurgeFlow is research, not investment advice.

What we publish

Open datasets covering price, turnover, fundamental ratios, factor exposures, institutional ownership, macro indicators, and benchmark constituents across broad equity markets. Each dataset ships with methodology disclosure and known limitations.

Methodology

Statistical testing with HAC inference, residual diagnostics, monotonicity tests, and point-in-time controls. Seven weekly factor books — MARKET, SIZE, VALUE, MOMENTUM, PROFITABILITY, INVESTMENT and LIQUIDITY — are published as style-tilted long-only books (market exposure 1, own style 1 by characteristic); return-beta-pure books replace them after verification. Members also see a monthly-rebalanced Research product built on those books, which holds the MARKET book while no macro forecast is admitted. Methodology citations include Fama-French, Lakonishok-Shleifer-Vishny, Altman, Beneish, and Newey-West where applicable.

Mission

SurgeFlow is free for everyone. We test markets and promote equity — both equity markets and equitable access to financial research. Users are asked to donate to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

Disclaimer
